02.02.2023 - Topic - Today the boys finished off their beautiful vases by painting them using gold and black. 

January 2023

30.01.2023 - Spanish - This term in Spanish we have been learning the Spanish names of fruits, we then designed our own smoothies and made them. 

25.01.2023 - Topic - This term in Topic we have been looking at Ancient Greece, the boys have designed their own vases, today we made our vases using clay, we will then paint them next week when they have dried. 

20.01.2023 - English - In English we have been looking at plurals. Matthew and Lee played a matching game. 

18.01.2023 - Outdoor play - Today for our outdoor play we went exploring the school fields, collecting sticks and den building. 

18.01.2023 - Maths - Today we looked at sharing equally, using half’s and quarters. 

18.01.2023 - PSHE - Today in PSHE we did some Lego therapy. The boys worked together to build the Lego model that was on the picture.

17.01.2023 - Theraplay - This morning in Theraplay the boys enjoyed doing the balloon balance. 

16.01.2023 - Messy pod - Today the boys enjoyed some time in the messy pod. We had foam soap, painting, water play and sand play. 

10.01.2023 - Theraplay - In Theraplay we did the bean bag balance and the counter travel. At the end of our Theraplay sessions we do a team hands in. 

09.01.2023 - Messy pod - Today the boys enjoyed some time in the messy pod, we had different stations set up. Such as: the sand tray, the water tray, play dough, rice tray and jelly bath. 

December 2022

16.12.2022 - Christmas dinner - We all enjoyed a lovely Christmas dinner together in the hall, cooked by our school dinner ladies. We enjoyed spending time together and chatting over dinner. 

08.12.2022 - Topic - This term in Topic the boys have been looking at different packaging and products and rating them. They then designed there own packaging and product, some of the boys made smoothies and some made soup. They prepared their ingredients themselves. 

06.12.2022 - Class trip - Yesterday Oak class enjoyed a trip to Imagine that at Liverpool. We had so much fun exploring the different areas. 

05.12.2022 - DT - This week the boys enjoyed making salt dough decorations, when they dry we will paint them and use them as Christmas decorations.

23.11.2022 - Theraplay - This morning in Theraplay the boys enjoyed a game of bowling. 

22.11.2022 - Topic - In Topic we have been looking at farming in different in countries, we have tried some different fruits and vegetables from all around the world. 

22.11.2022 - English - This week in English we are looking at plurals. Today we played a game and matched the single plural to the double plurals. 

21.11.2022 - Spanish - Today in Spanish we looked at different objects, we then played a game and matched up the Spanish words to the correct picture. 

14.11.2022 - Messy play - Today the boys enjoyed some time in the messy pod. We had the choices of, flour and water, sand and water play and play dough. The boys really enjoyed it and took it in turns to go to the different stations. 

14.11.2022 - Theraplay - Today in Theraplay the boys enjoyed a game of pop-up pirate. 

11.11.2022 - Topic - Today in Topic the boys did some beautiful art work for Remembrance Day, in honour of our fallen soldiers. 

10.11.2022 - ICT - This term in ICT the boys have been practicing coding using code.org.

09.11.2022 - RE - This week in RE we have been looking at Kwanzaa, which is an African-American holiday. The boys enjoyed making a Kwanzaa Matt. 

07.11.2022 - Messy play - Today the boys enjoyed some time in our new messy pod, they enjoyed playing in the water tray, the sand tray and the glittery shaving foam. 

03.11.2022 - Birthday treat - Today Oak class had a special treat to celebrate Miss Blundell’s birthday, she treated the boys to a McDonald’s for lunch. We had so much fun sitting in the hall and chatting over lunch together. 

01.11.2022 - Theraplay - In Theraplay today the boys enjoyed a game of keeping the balloon up. We then did army crawls through the hoops. 

October 2022

31.10.2022 - Halloween - Today we celebrated halloween in Oak class and around school, Matthew enjoyed taking some pictures with different spooky decorations around school. We then all made a spiders web in Theraplay, then we enjoyed doing some halloween crafts. 

21.10.2022 - RE - This morning we have been looking at Diwali, the Hindu Festival of lights. The boys designed there own henna tattoo and made patterns in the rice tray. 

20.10.2022 - Maths - This week we are looking at comparing weights, today the boys used the sand tray to fill different objects and see which ones were the heaviest and which were the lightest. 

20.10.2022 - Theraplay - This morning in Theraplay we had Miss B’s spa/wellness morning. The boys enjoyed a foot spa, a massage and some relaxing music. 

19.10.2022 - PSHE - This week in PSHE we are practicing how to take turns, today the boys did a jigsaw puzzle together, taking it in turns to find the matching pieces, they worked well and helped each other. 

19.10.2022 - Art - Today in art the boys painted their pyramids which they made last week. 

18.10.2022 - PE - Today in PE the boys enjoyed a game of dodgeball. 

17.10.2022 - Spanish - In Spanish this week we have been looking at greetings. We matched the English phrases to the Spanish phrases. 

17.10.2022 - Maths - In maths this week we have been looking at comparing weight. 

12.10.2022 - Maths - This week in maths the boys have been measuring lengths. 

12.10.2022 - Art - This term we have been learning about the ancient Egyptians, today in art we have designed our own pyramids. 

11.10.2022 - Theraplay - This morning in theraplay we did flutter kicks and funny walks. 

05.10.2022 - Story time - Today the boys enjoyed a story and looking at the pictures. 

05.10.2022- Maths - Today in maths some of the boys have been repeating patterns using 3D objects and the other boys have been building a tower.  

03.10.2022 - Structured play - This week in our structured play box one of the options is the shop and the till. The boys enjoyed role playing together. They used pretend money to pay each other.

03.10.2022 - Theraplay - Today in Theraplay we talked about our feelings using the Oak class octopus, we then did some balancing on our chairs and played bubble tennis. 

September 2022

29.09.2022 - Music - In music this week we have been practicing using music notes on the xylophone, we looked at the tune of “row your boat”. 

26.09.2022 - Sounds Write - This week in Sounds Write Lee and Matthew have been looking at the sounds “S” “I” “T” “P” “A” “N” we have written out words on the white boards and they have been practicing their pencil grip. 

22.09.2022 - Special Visitor - Yesterday in Oak class we had a special visit from Pepper the dog and Mrs Murphy. 

21.09.2022 - Theraplay - Today in Theraplay we practiced our core balancing and played a colour match game. 

21.09.2022 - Art - We have been looking at the Egyptian times. We have made our own silhouette picture with pyramids, using oil pastels.  

20.09.2022 - English - This week in English we have been been adding “ing” to different words. We have looked through the rules of adding “ing” to a word and then practiced it on our work sheets. 

16.09.2022 - Theraplay - On Friday in Theraplay we enjoyed a game of Sleeping lions and tug-of-war. The boys really enjoyed it. 

15.09.2022 - Theraplay - This morning in Theraplay we talked about our Emotions and how we are feeling using our class Octopus. We then practiced our body strength by seeing who could hold the plank the longest. We finished off by having a game of “guess who’s hugging you”.

15.09.2022 - English - This week in English we are looking at describing words. We have been looking at a picture and making a sentence using describing words. 

14.09.2022 - Theraplay - In Theraplay today we have looked at each other through magnifying glasses and pointed out different features on our friends faces. We also did some press ups to build our upper body strength and balance. 

12.09.2022 - Maths - In maths this week we have been ordering and comparing numbers. 

08.09.2022 - Theraplay - Today in Theraplay we enjoyed a game of tug-of-war and the Cotton ball blow game. The boys really enjoy Theraplay and it helps them to build relationships with us and with one another. 

07.09.2022 - Art - Today in art we have been painting hand prints to put up on our display board. 

07.09.2022 - Sounds Write - Today in sounds write we played phonics games and practiced our pronunciation.
