Friday 28th June 2024
Today in Beech class we made our own ‘mocktails’
We have been learning all about capacity and we each crafted our own recipe using fruit juice to make our perfect drink. We had to concentrate very hard to ensure we measured the exact amount and all enjoyed drinking our concoctions!
Friday 14th June
Today we were lucky enough to have a beekeeper visit us in school. We learned about how honey is made, honeycomb and beeswax. We found the Queen Bee and a drone!
some of us even tried the bee suit on.
Beech Bar Mitzvah!
We have been learning about Rites of Passage and comparing life as a journey!
Here we are having a go at a Bar/Bat Mitzvah parade!

Summer 1 - Teamwork!
This term we have focused our attention on working as a team!
We've had lots of fun trying new activities.

Spring 1 has been full of learning!
We have written newspaper articles, learned about fables, STEM and teamwork challenges, learned about the water cycle and states of matter, created our own maps and learned some new life skills. Here are some of our work and activities for you to have a look at!
Week beginning 26.1.24
Highlights
This week we have learned about 3D shapes in Maths. We used these shapes to build towers as a team and could talk about edges, vertices and faces.
We created dot and line drawings in Art.
We listened to the story of the boy and the wolf and focused on speech marks.
We worked as a team in Theraplay and PSHE
January 2024
We gave a shot at archery in P.E today!
We really enjoyed learning about focus and control and tried super hard.
17th January 2024
Today we made Matzot bread like the Jewish people would eat during Passover.
We enjoyed tasting it with hot butter.

Today we had a special visitor in Beech class!

December 2023 - The digestive system
We have been learning about the digestive system in science. Today we demonstrated how food travels through our system in a messy experiment.
World War 2 - November 2023
In topic this term we are learning all about WW2.
Some of us were brave enough to try on a gas mask and hold a real bomb!

We laughed until our bellies hurt, we were brave adventurers exploring new things, we were resilient, we were TEAM BEECH!
The Romans - Autumn 1
October 2023
We have been learning all about the Romans! Here we are creating Roman roads using biscuits, chocolates and sweets.
We learned about each layer of a road and how the Romans used and built roads. We also enjoyed creating Roman shields and getting into formation!

we looked at food groups and decided to try making a healthy smoothie, we tasted the ingredients, designed bottles and tested our smoothies.
