Cherry

Welcome to Cherry class.

We are part of the Woodlands team.

The staff in Cherry class include…

Mrs Lockett, Mrs Faulkner and Mrs Crowe.

We invite you to look at our page to find out what we have been learning about and all of the fun activities we have taken part in.

We have been looking at our local town of Wigan this half term. As Wigan is famous for pies we had a go at making our own. The boys did all of the work themselves and look how amazing they turned out.

In Maths we have been looking at arrays. The boys then made their own arrays using blocks and counters.

In Science we are looking at states of matter. We did an experiment today to see how materials change state. The boys really enjoyed this experiment and got an ice pop to eat at the end.

In Art we are looking at the artist Antony Gormley. We then made our own sculptures using Lego, blocks and clay.

In Maths we have been looking at 3D shapes. We said the name of the shape and the boys had to throw the beanbag to the correct one.

We enjoyed getting to know each other by playing games together, making cakes and completing a Lego mega tower challenge.

Stone Age Day- During our Stone Age day, we looked at artefacts from the Stone Age including things used for cooking and making weapons.

We celebrated World Smile Day on the 1/10/2021. We enjoyed getting creative and making our own selfie frame and using photo props.
