Hello and Welcome to Our Alder class page.

Autumn 1

In Alder class this half term we have been getting to know each other.

We have talked a lot about our feelings and things that may make us happy, sad, angry and nervous. We have discussed how all of us experience these feelings and discussed ways that we can help each other when we feel these big emotions. we made some clay emojis to show some of these emotions.

Theraplay

We have so much fun in our theraplay sessions. This week we have been wrapping each other up like a mummy and then seeing how strong we are to break out! We realised we are all very strong in Alder class!

Theraplay helps us to work together, to listen and follow instructions, to build positive relationships with each other and the teachers and also to have lots of fun.

Play

In Alder class, we are awesome at playing! We are learning to share and take turns and to talk to each other nicely to make sure everyone has a fun time.

English

We have been working really hard on our reading and phonics, learning some of our sounds and using them to build words.

Maths

We have been trying really hard with our maths work. We have been counting and matching numbers

Computing

In computing, we have been getting familiar with the computer programme we use to help us with our work. We used the paint programme to make pictures and also the design page to design people for a story.
