We are a Year 2 & 3 class.

In our Year 2 and 3 class, we recognise that children learn best when they are actively engaged, curious and having fun. Our classroom provides lots of opportunities for purposeful play, exploration and child-led learning, alongside high-quality teaching and structured activities. Through carefully planned play experiences, children develop important social skills such as sharing, turn-taking, cooperation, communication and problem-solving. They are encouraged to work together, negotiate, express their ideas and learn how to manage friendships and different situations. Play also provides opportunities for children to develop their independence, confidence and creativity, while building the resilience and positive attitudes they need to become successful learners. We want every child to feel safe, valued and included, with the confidence to explore, have a go and enjoy learning.
