At Willow Grove we want to engage, inspire and challenge our children, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to be creative, experiment and invent their own art, craft and designs. As our children progress through school, they will be able to develop their critical thinking skills and their understanding of art and design.

Our Grammarsaurus Art curriculum provides pupils with opportunities to explore, develop and express their creativity through a broad range of artistic techniques, materials and styles. Children develop their skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, printing, textiles and mixed media, while learning about a diverse range of artists, cultures and artistic traditions. The curriculum encourages pupils to experiment, make creative choices and develop their own artistic style, while also learning to appreciate, discuss and evaluate their own work and the work of others. Through Art, children develop confidence, creativity, imagination and a lifelong appreciation of the arts.
