Welcome to Willow Class
Our class is a mixed year group classroom.
The class staff are Mrs Latham, Ms. Trevor, Mrs. Selby Ms. Ms. Durnan and Ms Tracey, a team of grown-ups who help our class to learn and play.
Our mixed class provides a warm, nurturing and highly supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to learn at their own pace and celebrate their individual achievements. With a strong focus on play-based and practical learning, children have frequent opportunities to explore, investigate and learn through activities that are meaningful and motivating to them. Play provides valuable opportunities to develop communication, social interaction, sharing, turn-taking, problem-solving and independence, while also supporting emotional and sensory development. Our curriculum is carefully adapted to meet each pupil’s individual starting point, strengths and interests, ensuring that learning is accessible and purposeful. We aim to create an environment where every child feels safe, included and successful, developing confidence, curiosity and a positive attitude towards learning.
Our PE day is Wednesday, and we expect all children to have their PE kits with them on that day. For further information about our curriculum, please see the documents and the bottom of this page.
