  • Accessibility Plan

At Willow Grove, we have an Accessibility Plan for our school which outlines how the school will ensure all pupils can access the curriculum, the physical environment, and information in a way that promotes inclusion and equity. Rooted in the school's values of Be Safe, Be Kind, Be Positive, the plan ensures every child feels supported, understood, and empowered to succeed.

Be Safe: Our plan ensures the school environment is physically and emotionally safe for all pupils. This includes making adaptations for mobility needs, sensory processing challenges, and creating calm spaces to help pupils regulate emotions. Staff training is central to recognising and managing risks sensitively.

Be Kind: Inclusivity is built on empathy and respect. Our Accessibility Plan promotes kindness by fostering understanding of diverse needs among staff and pupils. It ensures that communication is accessible for all, including the use of visual aids, simplified language, or assistive technology, so no child feels isolated or misunderstood.

Be Positive: Our plan champions a strengths-based approach, recognising what pupils can do rather than focusing on limitations. It aims to remove barriers so every child has the chance to achieve and participate fully in school life. Goals include improving access to learning, celebrating diversity, and supporting emotional well-being.

The Willow Grove Accessibility Plan below is a document that reflects our commitment to providing a nurturing, inclusive environment where all children thrive, in line with legal duties and our core values.
