At Willow Grove we want to engage, inspire and challenge our children, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to be researchers, and to be confident to develop their own interest in historical learning. As our children progress through school, they will be able to develop their research and questioning skills and gain a better understanding of significant individuals and events that have occurred in history. 

To have high expectations in history across the school.  

To provide a skills and vocabulary based history curriculum which develops children’s skills and knowledge progressively as they move through school. 

To teach our children new knowledge about a variety of different historical people and events in history. 

To develop the children’s research and observational skills with the use of internet-based work, and artefacts.
