At Willow Grove we want to engage, inspire and challenge our children, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to be creative, experiment and invent their own art, craft and designs. As our children progress through school, they will be able to develop their critical thinking skills and their understanding of art and design.

To have high expectations in art across the school.  

To provide a skills and vocabulary based art curriculum which develops children’s skills and knowledge progressively as they move through school. 

To teach our children new knowledge about a variety of different artists and styles of art and develop an appreciation of these. 

To develop the children’s art skills with the use of sketchbooks, and workbooks.  

To offer our children new and exciting opportunities and experiences to learn.  

To promote our school values and British Values.
