We are a Year 5 & 6 class.
Our class staff are Miss Simpson, Mrs Faulkner, Miss Webber
Our Year 5 and 6 class provides a structured, nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils are supported to build on their strengths and prepare confidently for their next steps. We recognise that every child has their own individual strengths, interests, communication styles and ways of learning, and we adapt our teaching and environment to help each pupil thrive. Alongside the academic curriculum, pupils are given opportunities to develop independence, communication, social interaction and self-advocacy skills, including understanding their own needs and identifying strategies that help them to learn and regulate. Through practical activities, purposeful play and shared experiences, children develop cooperation, problem-solving and confidence in navigating different situations. We encourage pupils to take increasing responsibility for their learning and daily routines, celebrate their achievements and develop the resilience, independence and life skills they need for a successful transition into their next stage of education.
