Alder
We are a Year 4 and 5 class.
Welcome to Alder Class! We are delighted to welcome you to our class page. The children are supported by a dedicated team of staff: Ms Magee, Mrs Crowe and Miss Wellman who all work closely together to ensure the children feel happy, safe and ready to learn.
Our Year 4 and 5 class provides a calm, structured and supportive environment where pupils can develop their confidence, independence and love of learning. We recognise that every child is unique, and we adapt our approach to meet individual strengths, interests, communication styles and needs. Alongside the academic curriculum, pupils have regular opportunities for purposeful play, practical activities and shared experiences, helping them to develop communication, social interaction, cooperation and problem-solving skills. We support children to understand and manage their emotions, develop strategies for regulation and build positive relationships with others. Through predictable routines, clear expectations and carefully supported opportunities to make choices, pupils are encouraged to become increasingly independent, resilient and confident learners, while celebrating their individual achievements and successes.
